How To Make A Clean Sweep Of Your Task!

How To Make A Clean Sweep Of Your Task!

December 1, 2020 - S SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Choosing the best tool to use to clean can sometimes be daunting, and choosing a broom can be no exception. Blue Ribbon Supply has several types of brooms available for sweeping, each designed for a specific type of surface and task.

Here are some of the most common types of brooms and when they should be used:

    1. Push broom: A push broom is a large, wide broom with stiff bristles that is designed for sweeping large areas of floors, such as warehouses or parking lots. It is typically used for sweeping up dirt, debris, and other large particles. See an example in our PN: 2630.
    2. Corn broom: A corn broom is a traditional broom with a head made of natural corn husks or straw. It is typically used for sweeping up smaller debris, such as dust and dirt, on indoor surfaces like hardwood or tile floors. See an example in our PN: 2810.
    3. Angle broom: An angle broom has a triangular / angled head that allows for better access to corners and other hard-to-reach areas. It is typically used for sweeping up dust and debris on smooth surfaces like hardwood or tile floors. See an example in our PN: 1188.
    4. Whisk broom: A whisk broom is a small broom with a short handle and soft bristles. It is typically used by hand for sweeping up smaller areas, such as countertops or around furniture. See an example in our PN: 2803.
    5. Push sweeper: A push sweeper is a machine that uses rotating brushes to sweep up debris. It is typically used for larger areas and is more efficient than using a traditional broom. See an example in our PN: 7366

When selecting a broom, brush or push sweeper of any type, it is important to consider the type and condition of surface being swept and the size of the area. For example, a push broom may be too large and unwieldy for sweeping a small room, while a whisk broom may not be effective for sweeping up large amounts of debris. It is also important to consider the stiffness of the bristles, as softer bristles may not be effective for sweeping up larger particles, while stiffer bristles may not pick up finer granules and/or damage more delicate surfaces.

Overall, the best broom for achieving the best results depends on the specific task at hand and the surface being swept. Still wondering which broom to choose? If so, simply contact your Blue Ribbon Supply representative for more help.
